Kendrick Lamar is capitalizing on his successful year by announcing a joint tour with SZA, set to begin in the spring. The tour will visit twenty stadiums across the U.S., with Minneapolis marking the first stop, followed by a performance in Glendale at State Farm Stadium on May 27, 2025.
Lamar’s latest album, GNX, recently topped the Billboard 200, becoming the first new rap album of the year to sell the most units. It earned 319,000 equivalent album units, securing Lamar’s sixth consecutive number-one album. Additionally, his popular diss track, Not Like Us, is on track to become the highest-selling song of 2024 in the U.S.
The song’s success has sparked controversy, leading Drake to file a lawsuit against Universal Music Group, accusing them of manipulating streams using bots and pay-for-play tactics to boost the track’s popularity. Lamar’s legal team alleges that the label orchestrated a campaign to artificially inflate the song’s viral status.
