Police provided extensive security at the funeral service for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, who was tragically killed in a targeted shooting in New York City last week.
The service, held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minnesota, on Monday, saw over a dozen state troopers and approximately 100 vehicles, including black SUVs, stationed outside. A drone was also observed flying overhead, and a sniper was positioned on the church roof.
Despite the heavy security, the service remained private, with no outside attendees allowed. Reports indicated that a security code was required for entry.
Thompson, 50, was fatally shot on December 4 outside a Hilton hotel in New York City just before a shareholder conference.
Thompson’s family, in a statement shared with Fox News Digital during the funeral, described him as a devoted husband, father, son, and brother, adding, “We will miss him for the rest of our lives.”
