BTS member V, alongside South Korean vocalist Park Hyo Shin, has dethroned Mariah Carey’s holiday classic All I Want for Christmas Is You from the top of Billboard’s Holiday Digital Song Sales chart. V’s new single, Winter Ahead, debuted at No. 1, surpassing Carey’s track, which dropped to second place.
Known as the queen of the holiday season, Carey’s hit often dominates charts during December. However, Winter Ahead sold 10,300 copies in the U.S. during the latest tracking period, significantly outpacing the 3,200 copies sold of Carey’s iconic song.
In addition to its success on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, Winter Ahead also entered Billboard’s Holiday 100 chart at No. 62. This achievement highlights V’s growing influence as a solo artist, even amid the festive dominance of Carey’s seasonal anthem.
