Jonathan Majors’ upcoming film Magazine Dreams now has an official release date, set for March 21, 2025, by Briarcliff Entertainment. This comes after delays linked to Majors’ legal issues with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
In the film, Majors plays Killian Maddox, an amateur bodybuilder grappling with mental and physical challenges as he strives to become a champion. Despite doctors’ warnings about the damage steroids were doing to his liver, Maddox becomes consumed by his obsession with a champion bodybuilder.
Majors, also an executive producer on the film through his Tall Street Productions, committed to the role by consuming 6,100 calories daily and training six days a week for over four months.
Magazine Dreams premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and features a cast that includes Haley Bennett, Taylour Paige, and Mike O’Hearn.
Initially, the film was set to be distributed by Searchlight Pictures, but after Majors’ conviction on misdemeanor assault and harassment charges in January 2024, stemming from a March 2023 incident with Jabbari, the rights were returned to the filmmakers. Majors was sentenced to participate in a domestic violence treatment program.
Jabbari also filed a civil lawsuit against Majors in March 2024, detailing alleged abuse, but dropped the lawsuit in November, with the claims dismissed.
Jabbari’s attorney stated that the resolution of the case would allow her to move forward with healing.
In the same month, Majors and actress Meagan Good confirmed their engagement, following months of speculation after their relationship began in May 2023.
