Donald Trump took full credit on Wednesday for the “EPIC” ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. In a Truth Social post, the president-elect claimed the deal, which has officially been announced today, was only possible due to his “Historic Victory in November.”
Trump stated, “It signaled to the entire World that my Administration would pursue Peace and negotiate deals to protect Americans and our Allies.” He added that he was “thrilled” American and Israeli hostages would soon reunite with their families.
Sources say the agreement includes a phased ceasefire, with Hamas set to release 33 of the estimated 100 hostages in Gaza during the initial 42-day phase.
