According to an earlier report by NinaWorldNews, FBI agents paid a visit to Ben Affleck’s Los Angeles home over the weekend.
Although it’s unclear whether the actor was home when the visit occurred, photos showed a number of FBI agents, recognized by the agency’s acronym on the back of their t-shirts and bulletproof vests, as well as Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers loitering outside the actor’s home early on Sunday, January 12.
Reports claimed that the police officers were seen waiting for several minutes outside his Brentwood gate before departing.
Members of the FBI’s Ground Intercept task force were conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire related to unauthorized drone activity, according to an FBI spokesperson.
Because of this, agents and the local partners might be seen all over the place, including at different homes.
The call box near the actor’s gate seemed to have been used as well, but it never opened. The agents then approached the gate, presumably to make a call over it, but that also failed.
The actor is not in trouble, according to reports, because the agents were only there to look into a drone and firefighting aircraft collision.
The news organization reports that the “Super Scooper” plane was helping to extinguish the wildfires raging across Los Angeles, which have destroyed thousands of homes and claimed 24 lives so far.
The 52-year-old reportedly drove to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house last week in the midst of the ongoing fires in California, but it was never made clear whether he was following orders to leave or if he was simply checking in on his family.
