Diddy has recently managed to resolve one of his legal challenges. On February 14, a lawsuit accusing him and Jay-Z of assaulting an underage girl in 2000 was dismissed. The dismissal was voluntary and with prejudice, meaning the case cannot be refiled. Both Diddy and Jay-Z had strongly denied the accusations since the lawsuit was first filed.
After the case was dismissed, a representative for Diddy issued a statement to AllHipHop, calling the dismissal “another confirmation that these lawsuits are based on falsehoods, not facts.” The statement criticized the attorney behind the cases, claiming that the lawsuits were more about media attention than legal substance. It reiterated that Diddy had never engaged in any form of sexual assault or trafficking, and declared that other similar lawsuits would also fail.
However, while this lawsuit has been resolved, Diddy still faces several ongoing legal battles, including allegations related to sex trafficking and racketeering. He was also served with another lawsuit the same day, accusing him of trafficking minors. The new claim alleges that Diddy hired the accuser and other underage girls to work at a Miami party in 2020, where the event allegedly involved sexual activities.
