Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N890 to N825 per litre, effective February 27, 2025.
The N65 price cut was confirmed in a statement released by the refinery on Wednesday, February 26. Under the new pricing structure, MRS fuel stations in Lagos will sell petrol at N860 per litre, while prices will vary across regions: N870 per litre in the South-West, N880 per litre in the North, and N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
Similarly, at AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations, petrol will be available at N865 per litre in Lagos, N875 per litre in the South-West, N885 per litre in the North, and N895 per litre in the South-South and South-East.
The company assured the public of a steady fuel supply, with sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand and surplus available for export to boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.
According to the refinery, the price adjustment aims to provide financial relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery initiatives.
