Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has vowed not to pay lip service or joke with the welfare of Corps members in the state.
Governor Fintiri disclosed this while presiding over the 2023 Batch C, Stream 2 swearing-in ceremony of corps members deployed to the state for the one-year mandatory national service.
Fintiri, who noted that a conducive environment is essential for good service, expressed optimism and support for the ideals, aims, programmes and activities of the National Youth Service Corps.
In a statement issued via his official Twitter-X handle, the governor said “Excited to welcome the 2023 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Corps members @officialnyscng to Adamawa State! Your dedication to nation-building is recognized, and we’re enhancing your stay with an additional N10,000 increase in your monthly allowance to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.
I have also directed essential supplies of food items for a memorable orientation experience”.
The governor had earlier urged the corps members to engage, make friends, and discover their talents during the Orientation Course.
