The 2023 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has criticized President Bola Tinubu for his large entourage at the COP28 Climate Change Summit in Dubai.
Atiku expressed concern that Tinubu turned the summit into an extravagant gathering, emphasizing that it is meant for addressing global challenges, not a festive ‘Owambe’ party.
Atiku’s spokesperson, Paul Ibe, stated that Tinubu’s actions reveal a lack of understanding of Nigeria’s economic challenges, urging leaders to be mindful of the country’s financial constraints instead of hosting lavish events abroad.
