The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr. Kabir Mohammed, has issued a warning of sanctions against personnel, government staff, and others involved in extorting travelers.
FAAN has employed “mystery staff” at the country’s four international airports to monitor and report on airport activities.
Mohammed disclosed this during a sensitization program on the Airport Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) initiative.
He emphasized the consequences for anyone caught extorting travelers during the upcoming Yuletide season and urged collaboration among various government agencies operating at the airports.
