Simon Ekpa, a self-proclaimed follower of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), announced the creation of forty “United States of Biafra.”
The Finland-based lawyer, advocating for Biafra’s independence on social media, designated the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Biafra as ‘Ebube.’
Ekpa asserted that the Nigerian government must acknowledge the Biafran states, release Nnamdi Kanu, and withdraw all Nigerian forces from these 40 states to restore peace.
