Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface clinched the Rookie of the Month award for the fifth consecutive time this season, securing the December honor.
Since his summer move from Union Saint-Gilloise, the 22-year-old forward has dominated the award, having previously claimed it in August, September, October, and November.
In December, Boniface contributed three goals and two assists in three league games for Xabi Alonso’s team.
With nine goals in 15 league appearances and an additional four in the UEFA Europa League, the Nigerian international looks to enhance his goal tally as Die Werkself faces Bochum in their final 2023 game tonight.
