A Ugandan chef, Dorcus Mirembe, also known as Mama D, has surpassed the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Marathon within a year, previously held by Irish chef Alan Fisher.
Fisher’s record was nearly 120 hours, but Mama D has surpassed it, currently clocking in at 124 hours and continuing.
She aims to cook until the new year, and if successful, will have completed a non-stop cooking marathon lasting 9 days.
Notably, Mama D’s achievement awaits official certification by the Guinness World Record, despite surpassing Fisher’s record.
