Chancellor Ahaghotu, a Nigerian student studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, has recently achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon.
The announcement was made by GWR on Wednesday, highlighting Ahaghotu’s impressive feat of a 100-hour continuous painting session, breaking a decade-old record.
During the marathon, Ahaghotu created 106 pieces featuring various subjects, including celebrities, plants, animals, and food items.
Reflecting on his accomplishment, Ahaghotu expressed that the paintings represent his diverse moods and feelings.
The previous record-holder was Belgian painter Roland Palmaerts, who set a record of 60 hours in 2013.
