President Bola Tinubu has departed the nation’s capital for Paris, France, on what his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, termed a ‘private visit.’

According to information from insiders, it sources say the journey was undertaken for medical leave.

An official statement released on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, announced the trip without specifying its purpose.

Ngelale emphasized the personal nature of the journey, stating that President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Nigeria in the first week of February 2024.

Notably, Tinubu hosted the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on Tuesday, January 23, before embarking on his trip.

The statement reiterated the expected return date as the first week of February 2024.
