The Super Eagles of Nigeria triumphed over the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon with a 2-0 victory, propelling them into the Quarterfinals of the ongoing AFCON.
Ademola Lookman’s double in the 36th and 90th minutes secured the win, and Nigeria is now set to face Angola in the next round at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6pm.
Despite Angola’s strong performance, the Super Eagles remain undefeated in the tournament.
Angolan forward Jacinto Dala, instrumental in their 3-0 win against Namibia, expressed satisfaction with the team’s qualification, marking Angola’s return to the quarterfinals since 2008.
