In 1982, the Mandidzudzure area in eastern Zimbabwe was renamed Chimanimani, and it seems the village gods had someone like Anyway Neshiri in mind.
Though not born then, Anyway’s life echoes the mysterious occurrences associated with the Chimanimani gap, a passage infamous for claiming lives.
Missing for 22 years, Anyway, now a Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison inmate, emerged in Chipinge as an illegal miner, later moving to Chiadzwa diamond fields.
His tumultuous life, marked by family abandonment, murder, and imprisonment, leaves him yearning for answers, family connections, and redemption.
