On February 1, Asahi, a 21-year-old professional wrestler from Japan, passed away, as announced by the Japanese women’s wrestling promotion Actwres girl’Z.
The exact cause of death remains unconfirmed, but the promotion mentioned an “unexpected accident,” believed to be a car crash, according to Puroresu Flowsion.
The scheduled Shinkiba performance on February 9 has been canceled, and the promotion expressed gratitude for the support received.
Asahi, who began wrestling in 2017, had worked with various promotions, and her untimely death led to an outpouring of tributes from fans on social media.
