The Lagos State Government will reinstate a 25% discount on fares for all state-managed transportation services, including BRT, trains, and ferries.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this during a press briefing, aiming to alleviate financial challenges for Lagos residents.
Ongoing discussions with transport unions also seek to encourage fare reductions.
Additionally, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared updates on the Blue Line Rail project’s second phase, extending from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko, and the upcoming commencement ceremony for the 4th Mainland Bridge project in late April 2024.
