On Thursday, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro concluded his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
In a statement posted on Friday, the 63-year-old expressed pride in coaching the team for 22 months, thanking NFF officials, including Sir Amaju Pinnick, President Ibrahim Gusau, and the players. Peseiro, who took on the role in June 2022, highlighted the dedication and joy of leading the team, culminating in winning the silver medal at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite his interest in coaching Algeria, he lost to Vladimir Petkovic, who is set to finalize his appointment this week.
