Opponents of Minnesota’s new state flag are organizing a protest, with Republican Senator Torrey Westrom announcing a rally on the Capitol steps in St. Paul on Tuesday afternoon.
Their aim is to preserve the existing flag, emphasizing the importance of public input in the decision-making process.
Senator Westrom encourages citizens to voice their opinions to elected officials.
The proposed flag and seal received approval from a state commission in December, set to become official on Statehood Day, May 11.
