The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Monrovia has announced plans to provide training opportunities for nurses and doctors at Jackson Fiah Doe Hospital in Tapita, Nimba County.
This initiative aims to enhance the hospital’s human resource capacity.
Dr. Ponnie Robertlee Dolo, the Medical Director and CEO of Jackson F. Doe Hospital, revealed that the training will include short-term clinical courses and long-term graduate and postgraduate programs.
The short-term programs for 2024 will focus on Maternal and Neonatal emergency care and will take place at various medical institutions in China.
Dr. Dolo expressed gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for the offer and pledged full support in fostering partnerships.
Additionally, nine healthcare professionals from Jackson Fiah Doe Hospital are currently pursuing specialized degrees at universities in China, ranging from Maternal and Child Health to Information Technology/Computer Science.
