A recent decision by a New York appellate court allows former President Donald Trump to post a reduced bond of $175 million to cover a $464 million civil fraud judgment against him.
Trump’s legal team argued that obtaining a bond for the full amount was practically impossible.
The court also granted a 10-day delay in enforcing the judgment.
Trump expressed gratitude for the ruling and indicated he would promptly comply by posting the required bond.
Despite the reduction in bond amount, the $464 million judgment, along with interest, still stands against Trump.
Both Trump and his attorneys continue to contest the allegations of fraud, with ongoing appeals in various cases.
