President Biden reassured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that American forces would not participate in any offensive against Iran following Iran’s recent airborne attack on Saturday.
Biden emphasized to Netanyahu that the intercepted missiles and drones posed no significant threat, underscoring Israel’s defensive prowess and military superiority during the assault.
The U.S. military’s assistance in intercepting the majority of incoming projectiles outside Israel’s borders was highlighted by Biden, who mentioned deploying aircraft and ballistic missile defense destroyers to support Israel’s defense.
Despite a few missiles reaching Israeli territory, damages were minimal, and no injuries were reported.
The president also announced plans to meet with G7 leaders to coordinate a unified diplomatic response to Iran’s aggression, reaffirming a commitment to protecting U.S. personnel and interests from potential threats.
