The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has transferred Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, from the Ikoyi Correctional Centre to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre over the weekend, as reported by Leadership.
Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in prison without an option of fine for a financial offense on April 12.
Initially housed at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, he has now been relocated to Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
An unnamed NCoS official explained that the move was procedural, citing Kirikiri’s larger capacity compared to Ikoyi.
The decision to transfer Bobrisky discreetly was made for security reasons, according to the NCoS officer.
