Gospel singer KODA passed away on Sunday at the age of 45, according to reports by sources in Africa. Metro TV Ghana initially broke the news, with subsequent coverage from outlets like Modern Ghana.
Confirmation came through an Instagram post and later from Joy FM, where fellow gospel artist Nii Okai confirmed KODA’s passing.
Okai shared that KODA transitioned in the early hours of April 21, 2024, urging prayers for his family during this time. Details surrounding the cause of death remain unclear, with Modern Ghana mentioning “kidney disease” as a possible cause, though this was not confirmed by Joy FM.
KODA, also known as Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, was celebrated for songs like “Hosanna,” “Guide Me,” and his collaboration with Nacy on “Nkwa Abodoo.”
