In a decisive move, President Bola Tinubu has issued a directive to resurrect the Presidential Delivery Tracker, enabling Nigerians to monitor project progress nationwide in real-time.
During the closing session of the three-day Cabinet Retreat in Abuja, the President underscored his unwavering commitment to involving citizens actively in governance.
President Tinubu emphasized the need to grant all Nigerians the opportunity to track and report on project implementation across the nation.
To achieve this, he has tasked his Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, with immediately reactivating the tracking system, leveraging cutting-edge digital innovation to provide real-time oversight.
The President also redefined his administration’s priority areas, including economic reform, national security, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, education, health, diversification, and improved governance.
Quoting President Tinubu, “The Renewed Hope Agenda is about more than just economic growth. It is about creating a just and equitable society, generating jobs, enhancing education and healthcare, and reducing poverty. Our people seek tangible results, and we must put aside personal ambitions to fulfill the performance bond we’ve all signed.”
Furthermore, President Tinubu highlighted the crucial role of data in governance, stating, “Data is the lifeblood of effective governance. It enables us to understand the challenges we face, design solutions, monitor progress, and evaluate results.”
The retreat culminated with ministers, permanent secretaries, and President Tinubu signing performance bonds, reinforcing their commitment to diligence, innovative thinking, and results-oriented focus.
