In a near-tragic turn of events, Nollywood star Kelechi Udegbe narrowly escaped a devastating car accident, sustaining minor injuries.
The actor’s manager took to Twitter to reveal that the horrifying incident unfolded in the dead of night on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
The images and videos shared on social media showed the once-sturdy vehicle in a crumpled state, with its rear tires suspended in the air, the bonnet split in half, and the windshield shattered.
One of the clips depicted Kelechi Udegbe in a hospital bed, sporting a neck brace, but with relief, it was confirmed that his injuries were minor, and he is on the path to recovery.
His manager expressed gratitude, stating, “I write this message with a heart full of mixed emotions & immense gratitude to God almighty for giving Kelechi ‘The Performer’ Udegbe a second chance at life.”
As per his manager’s account, he received a call at midnight from an unknown number informing him about the accident. Udegbe’s ATM card found in the car helped trace his identity to his Instagram profile, ultimately reaching his manager.
Kelechi Udegbe himself shared his gratitude, tweeting, “I’m a living testimony of God’s mercies. God be praised!”
