Afrobeats sensation, David Adedeji Adeleke, widely recognized as Davido, has commenced legal proceedings against entrepreneur Abu Salami, alleging him of signature forgery and various other offenses.
Several weeks ago, Salami made a public accusation against Davido, asserting that the artist owed his football academy a substantial sum of N218 million.
He claimed that this debt stemmed from a project payment to Davido, which was never fulfilled due to the singer’s absence at the scheduled event, leading to considerable financial losses on Salami’s part.
He declared his intention to take legal action against Davido in connection with the incident.
In a surprising turn of events, Davido has now countered with legal action, accusing Salami of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and the forgery of his signature.
Photographs circulating on social media indicate Salami in police custody, suggesting his apprehension in connection with the alleged forgery.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Salami openly admitted on X platform, formerly known as Twitter, to forging Davido’s signature and expressed a disturbing sense of pride in his actions.
