According to Wrestlezone, WWE issued a brief update on Rey Mysterio’s status.
The WWE Hall of Famer underwent successful knee surgery on November 14, as announced by Mysterio himself.
Following the procedure, Haus of Wrestling reported an expected recovery period of six to eight weeks, revealing that Mysterio had been wrestling with a torn meniscus for about three months.
His last appearance on WWE SmackDown was on November 10, where he was attacked by Santos Escobar.
The WWE broadcast team later confirmed that Mysterio would be on the sidelines for “several months” post-surgery.
