Over a dozen women from Africa, including Vee Kativhu from Zimbabwe, have earned spots on the BBC’s 2023 annual list of the one hundred most influential and inspiring women worldwide.
The selection process considered individuals who made headlines, influenced important stories, or had compelling and impactful achievements.
Emphasizing this year’s theme of climate change and its disproportionate impact on women and girls globally, 28 Climate Pioneers and environmental leaders were highlighted.
The list reflects diverse voices from various backgrounds, ensuring regional representation and impartiality, with all women giving their consent to be included.
