A 33-year-old man from St. Louis Park has been sentenced to over 47 years in prison for murdering a pregnant woman outside an Amazon facility in Lakeville.
Donte McCray, the father of the victim’s unborn child, received consecutive sentences of 25½ years and 21¾ years for two counts of second-degree murder.
He pleaded guilty in October, resulting in the dismissal of two additional murder counts.
McCray shot 31-year-old Kyla O’Neal in the neck during a dispute over his recent child with another woman.
O’Neal, studying to be a nurse, died, and her newborn son, Messiah, also succumbed days after being delivered.
