A Pinellas Park man, James Leach, 45, was accused of deliberately putting Visine eyedrops in his nephew’s sandwich to make him sick.
A witness reported the incident at an unnamed business, stating that Leach expressed hatred towards his nephew.
Security footage confirmed Leach pouring the eyedrop solution on the sandwich.
Despite the victim eating a portion, he refused medical treatment.
Leach, with a history of domestic issues with the victim, was charged with poisoning food or water and is held on a $50,000 bond in Pinellas County Jail.
