An alleged workplace conflict led to the arrest of a High Point, North Carolina, pastor, Dwayne Waden, accused of assaulting a cook at a McDonald’s.
The incident unfolded when a manager-in-training complained of disrespect from colleagues, prompting her husband to intervene.
Waden allegedly pushed the cook’s head toward a deep fryer and punched him, causing injuries.
Surveillance footage supported the claims, leading to Waden’s arrest on an assault charge. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
The McDonald’s franchise emphasized prioritizing the safety of employees and customers, confirming the wife’s departure from the organization.
