The Blue Ridge Beef pet food company has expanded its recall due to the discovery of Salmonella and Listeria in its products, posing potential harm to pets and their owners.
The recall now includes additional lot numbers, covering more states where the affected products were distributed.
These products, including 2lb Kitten Grind, 2lb log of Kitten Mix, and 2lb log of Puppy Mix, were primarily sold in retail stores across several states.
The recall encompasses products with lot numbers and use-by dates between N24 1114 and N24 1224, distributed from November 14, 2023, to December 20.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that pets consuming the contaminated products may exhibit symptoms such as lethargy, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting, posing a risk to both pets and humans.
