Rapper and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs has withdrawn his lawsuit against Diageo as part of a settlement, making Diageo the sole owner of Ciroc vodka and DeLeon tequila.
The dispute, which began in May, alleged that Diageo failed to fulfill promised investments and treated the brands as inferior.
Combs, who promoted Ciroc since 2007 and co-purchased DeLeon in 2013, also claimed racial bias, accusing Diageo of limiting distribution to “urban” areas.
Diageo denied the allegations, and the details of the settlement remain undisclosed.
