WWE created a stir in the wrestling community by announcing a new partnership with Netflix for Monday Night Raw starting in 2025.
This move follows WWE’s trendsetting initiatives, such as the launch of WWE Network in 2014, later transitioning to Peacock in the U.S.
However, reports suggest that WWE Network will cease operations internationally at the end of the year, with Netflix becoming the exclusive global platform for its content, including classic archives.
According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio, Netflix will take over as the primary source for WWE Network’s archival content outside the United States from January onward.
The deal is seen as transformative, altering the media landscape and expanding WWE’s reach.
Monday Night Raw’s move to Netflix in 2025 marks a significant shift from its traditional linear television presence, promising changes in how the streaming platform handles commercial breaks.
TKO President Mark Shapiro and Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the combination of WWE’s entertainment and Netflix’s global reach.
WWE President Nick Khan believes Netflix is the ideal long-term home for Raw’s devoted fan base.
