Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who resigned following a state report of sexual harassment involving 11 women, faces additional accusations from 13 women in a new U.S. Department of Justice review.
The DOJ found a pattern of discrimination and retaliation against female employees between 2013 and 2021, stating that Cuomo engaged in non-consensual sexual contact and his staff retaliated against victims.
The settlement, part of a civil rights agreement with Cuomo’s successor, Governor Kathy Hochul, includes reforms to address workplace safety and anti-retaliation programs.
Cuomo denies wrongdoing, emphasizing flaws in the investigations.
