Tesla is recalling approximately 2.2 million vehicles in the United States due to incorrect font sizes on warning lights, posing a risk of reduced readability for critical safety information on the instrument panel.
The recall covers various Tesla EV models, including Model S, Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, Model Y, and 2024 Cybertruck vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Tesla is addressing the issue through a free over-the-air software update, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed on March 30, 2024.
This follows a series of recent recalls by the electric vehicle company, including one related to the Autopilot feature.
