Afrobeats sensation Davido faced disappointment at the 66th Grammy Awards, losing in all three nominated categories on Sunday night.
Despite earning nominations for Best Global Music Performance (“Feel”), Best Global Music Album (“Timeless”), and Best African Music Performance (“Unavailable”), the artist couldn’t secure any awards.
Notably, other Nigerian nominees like Burna Boy, Asake, Olamide, and Ayra Starr also left empty-handed.
South African singer Tyla clinched her first Grammy in the Best Global Music Performance category with the hit song “Water.”
Despite Davido’s optimism before the event, the coveted Grammy remained elusive for him and his fellow Nigerian artists.
