Deobra Redden, the man who violently attacked a Nevada judge during a sentencing hearing in Las Vegas last month, has been indicted for attempted murder.
The nine-count indictment includes charges for assaulting Judge Mary Kay Holthus and a Las Vegas police officer.
Redden’s arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 29, following the courtroom incident captured in a viral video.
Despite claims of mental health issues, he had previously been found competent to stand trial.
Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson noted Redden’s history of multiple convictions for felonies and misdemeanors, mostly involving violent acts.
