On Monday, the Taliban conducted a public execution in northern Afghanistan, publicly executing a man convicted of murder at a sports stadium amid heavy snowfall in Shibirghan, the capital of Jawzjan province.
Thousands witnessed the event, marking the third death sentence carried out in the past five days.
The victim’s brother shot the convict five times with a rifle, and security around the stadium was reportedly stringent.
The information comes from an anonymous witness not authorized to speak to the media.
