The initial project they’ll tackle involves producing a documentary-style special focusing on the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program.
Steve Harvey, renowned comedian and game show host, has formed a strategic alliance with Dr. Phil McGraw to establish one of the largest startup networks in recent times under Merit Street Media.
Their collaboration kicks off with Harvey becoming an equity partner in Merit Street Media, with their inaugural project centering on a docu-style special documenting the Steve Harvey Mentoring Program.
This program hosts week-long camps in Georgia for young men, with the special set to air in the coming fall.
The documentary aims to showcase Harvey and Dr. Phil’s efforts in equipping these young men with the tools and motivation necessary to become positive influencers in their communities and families.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the venture, Harvey stated, “Partnering with my good friend on such an innovative network allows me to continue my mission of empowering and inspiring individuals through entertainment.”
He emphasized the significance of mentorship and looks forward to sharing the journey with viewers.
Under the new collaboration, Merit Street Media will oversee production, talent development, and on-air services for Harvey, marking a significant milestone in establishing one of the largest startup networks in contemporary times.
Additionally, Merit Street Media has acquired over 300 episodes of Harvey’s syndicated talk show, “Steve,” which aired from 2017-2019.
Dr. Phil also expressed his excitement about working with Harvey, highlighting not only his humor but also his unparalleled kindness and dedication to helping others.
Dr. Phil had previously announced the launch of Merit Street last November and debuted his “Dr. Phil Primetime” on Feb. 26.
