The Met Gala award is slated for Monday May 6, 2024 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The Costume Institute exhibition will display 250 items representing 400 years of fashion history, highlighting notable pieces like an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth silk satin ball gown.
The exhibition will showcase designs by current fashion industry influencers alongside iconic figures in fashion, as well as contemporary sartorial creations.
It will be organized into a main display area and three thematic zones inspired by nature: Land, Sea, and Sky.
The exhibition will incorporate technology such as video animation, light projection, and AI to craft an immersive sensory experience.
