Three individuals were shot during an incident following a music set by popular American rapper Lil Baby in Atlanta.
The shooting began with what sounded like a semi-automatic weapon firing for about 6 seconds while dozens of staff and crew were setting up filming equipment on Tuesday afternoon.
The cameraman took cover and the video became shaky as he pointed the lens toward the ground, capturing background conversation that provided some context.
Apparently, a group of men pretending to film their own content nearby fired shots from a white car before quickly fleeing the scene.
Off camera, someone could be heard praising the gunmen for their deception, saying they “played it smooth.”
More gunshots followed shortly after the initial shooting, but someone advised against firing back as the assailants had already fled, preventing any further injuries.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the shopping district of Verbena Street in Atlanta, where they found a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the arm, a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back, and a 23-year-old male who had driven himself to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the neck. All injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, and Lil Baby was confirmed to be unharmed.
Chasity Roman of Slapping Tacos ATL, a local business owner, captured footage of the 4PF rapper arriving at the scene shortly before chaos erupted.
Investigators are currently looking into the motive behind the shooting.
