Nigerian lady Helen Williams has achieved a historic feat by setting a new Guinness World Record for the widest wig. The announcement was made by GWR on their Instagram page on Monday, May 20, 2024.
According to Guinness World Records, the wig measures 3.65 meters (11 feet 11 inches) in width. A video showcasing the largest wig was also posted by GWR to celebrate her accomplishment.
The wig was made using over 800 bundles of auburn hair, and Helen spent 4,138,200 Naira ($2,719; £2,150) on the supplies.
“I am very proud of myself. I now hold three records. As a professional wig maker, I look forward to breaking many more records in the wig category. I enjoy taking on difficult tasks; it makes me a better person and I learn new things,” she stated.
Helen Williams has made history and plans to continue her achievements in the field of wig making.
