A young Ghanaian boy named Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah has achieved recognition in the Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male artist, achieving this at just 1 year and 152 days old.
According to GWR, Ace-Liam began showing an interest in art and painting at the age of six months. He has already produced over 20 paintings, with 10 of them displayed and sold at his first group exhibition, The Soundout Premium Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Technology in Ghana. Nine of those artworks were sold during the exhibition.
His mother, Chantelle, who is also an artist, discovered his passion for painting when he was six months old. She mentioned that Ace-Liam enjoys the feel of paint on his hands, the bright colors, and the ability to express himself through painting. His paintings are mostly abstract and inspired by the world around him.
Ace-Liam’s painting sessions are spontaneous and guided by his mood. He chooses the canvas size and colors he prefers and applies the paint carefully yet spontaneously. His painting sessions can last from a few minutes to about half an hour, depending on his interest at the moment.
The young artist has garnered significant attention from national and international media and has even attracted the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana.
His family is now exploring opportunities to place him in an environment where his artistic talent can be nurtured through quality education and to seek international scholarship opportunities.
Chantelle advises parents to encourage and support their child’s interests, no matter how early they appear, emphasizing that nurturing these passions can lead to amazing discoveries and achievements.
