The Ogun State police command has reported that three Indian nationals were among those abducted along the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode expressway.
The incident occurred when gunmen ambushed travelers near the Sagamu Area Command of the Nigeria Police and Ilisan township on Sunday.
According to information gathered, the kidnappers followed an unidentified driver in a grey Toyota Rav 4 from Lagos to a vulnerable section of the road, where they seized the travelers. The victims were then taken away in an unregistered Venza jeep.

Additionally, a driver in a black Toyota Camry (with Lagos plate AAA-04-JB) was shot in the leg while attempting to flee, and the windshield of another bus driver traveling from Abuja to Lagos was shattered, although he was not the intended target.
