The disgraced music mogul, 54, has reportedly listed his Holmby Hills home for sale just four months after it was raided by Homeland Security in connection to a sex trafficking investigation.
According to reports from TMZ, Combs is attempting to sell the property off-market for $70 million, which is over $30 million more than he paid for it in 2014.
The Los Angeles mansion boasts 17,000 square feet of living space, including eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a 35-seat theater, a gym, and a wine room. The acre-sized property also features a 3,000-square-foot guest house. Outdoor amenities include a lagoon-style swimming pool with an underwater tunnel, a basketball half-court, and manicured gardens.
Despite being over a decade old, Combs has kept the interior updated with modern finishes.
However, the home’s high price and controversial history may make it difficult to sell.
Federal agents raided the mansion in March, searching for evidence in their investigation.
Photos of the aftermath showed significant property damage, with clothes and shoes thrown around, furniture overturned, and safes left open with scattered documents. Even children’s rooms were searched, with teddy bears and other toys strewn on the floor.
A source reported significant property damage to Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami following the raids.
While his lawyer criticized the search as an “excessive show of force,” a grand jury is currently reviewing the case to determine if there are grounds for indictment, according to TMZ.
Amid his legal troubles, there are reports that Combs wants to leave California permanently. He has spent most of his time in Florida since facing numerous sexual assault lawsuits and other allegations.
His ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, accused Combs of rape and long-term abuse in November, settling the suit just one day after filing it. Since then, at least six more individuals have come forward with similar accusations.
Despite Combs denying all allegations, a video of him beating and dragging Cassie in 2016 surfaced in May, supporting some of her claims.
Combs issued an apology, but Cassie’s legal team dismissed it as a “pathetic” attempt to save face.
